Drive For Drives Collects 60,000 Pounds Of Computer Equipment
The Drive For Drives collection Saturday at Werner Park took in 60,000 pounds of computer equipment to be recycled or resold by Goodwill. For the sake of the environment, it will be kept from ending up in a landfill.
Channel 6 for the Heartland partnered with Goodwill Industries and the Omaha West Rotary to sponsor the recycling event for which 262 people dropped off items.
The Drive for Drives has now collected over 300,000 pounds of computer equipment since last year.
