ARTsarben is returning to Aksarben Village for the second year September 28 and 29.
The festival will feature traditional fine art plus offbeat, creative, and stylish works created by 80 artists from across the United States. In addition to the art, visitors can enjoy live music, children's activities, and plenty of food.
WOWT is proud to, once again, sponsor this family-friendly event produced by the Omaha Summer Arts Festival.
Art collectors and enthusiasts will be able to purchase works directly from artists in numerous mediums including jewelry, sculpture, photography, painting, fiber, glass, metal and wood. Some favorite artists from this year’s Omaha Summer Arts Festival and last year’s ARTsarben will also be represented. Artwork available for purchase will range from small items that can be carried home in a pocket to full-scale pieces suitable for large spaces.
Visitors will be able to enjoy up-close, unique and family-friendly entertainment on both event days from various performers including musicians, singers, jugglers, magicians and others. Entertainers will perform in staging areas throughout the grounds of the event.
Kids of all ages will be able to explore their budding artistic talent through hands-on art activities, marvel at a solar-powered bubble-blowing tower and burn off extra energy in bounce houses. Art activities may require one to three tickets for supplies; tickets can be purchased for 50 cents each. Participating organizations to be offering activities include the ArtRoom, Project Interfaith, the Salvation Army Kroc Center, Omaha’s Henry Doorly Zoo, and others.
Food and Refreshments
ARTsarben’s Food Court will feature food trucks and kiosks offering a variety of snacks and refreshments to please all taste buds, including Shucks, Maria Bonita Mexican Cuisine, Dippin’ Dots, Godfather’s Pizza, The Nut Hutte, Prairie Fire Pizza, and more.
