The long-awaited "iPhone 5" may be introduced as early as next week.

Apple has sent out invitations for a press event to be held next Wednesday, September 12th.

On the invitation the number "12" is casting a shadow of the number "5."

That's thought to be a clue that the company will reveal the "iPhone 5"-the newest version of its legendary smartphone.

It's believed the "iPhone 5" will have a faster processor and possibly a larger display.
