Expect to pay more to fly this summer.

Ticket prices for domestic flights are about three percent higher than last year, and will likely keep rising, according to USA Today.

And that's on top of an 18% hike from 2010-2011.

International flights run about 20% more than they did two years ago.

One analyst tells the paper he expects airlines will attempt to raise prices about once a month, and estimates about half of those tries will be "successful."

Airlines blame price hikes on rising fuel costs.
