The Middle Class Is Getting Poorer
The nation's middle class are poorer and with lower incomes now than ten years ago.
According to a study by the Pew Research Center, the middle class suffered its "worst decade in modern history" from 2000-2010.
The median household income dropped by nearly 35-hundred dollars for a three-person household to $69,487 a year.
And of those surveyed, 85% of middle-class Americans said it's more difficult now than a decade ago to maintain their standard of living.
