A new survey finds that teachers want more technology in their classrooms.
A PBS LearningMedia National Survey of teachers, grades Pre-K through 12, found that additional technology is needed in classrooms.
91% of teachers surveyed reported having access to computers in their classrooms, but only 22% said they have the right level of technology.
Two thirds of teachers say budget constraints is the reason why additional technology for students is not available.
The survey also indicated that teachers in affluent districts are twice as likely to have access to tablets as teachers in middle and lower income districts.
PBS has surveyed educators on their use of technology since 2002.
