Safety in the skies begins on the ground, and the FAA is making it easier for employees to report mistakes.
The agency is expanding a "non-punitive" reporting system-so employees of the agency can report errors without fear of retaliation or other punishment.
Managers want to target areas of concern before they lead to accidents.
