American pet owners are digging deep to pay for their pet's final farewell.
According to Bloomberg Businessweek, pet funerals are a booming business...with about 700 pet aftercare facilities nationwide.
Prices vary depending on the service and whether owners cremate or bury their pet.
A pet funeral service in Virginia says they perform about 900 pet cremations a year and sell about 20 pet caskets.
They've even added extra staff to keep up with the growing business.
Cremations usually run between $200-$300 dollars, including a basic urn and sometimes a video slideshow. Specialty urns cost more.
A Houston,Texas pet cemetary charges more than $1100 to bury a large dog, plus and annual plot maintenance fee of $30.
