No Tickets In Time

Tickets In Time response
"Thank you for your e-mail regarding Mr. Elting's purchase of Book of Mormon tickets. As of 1/2 Mr. Elting has been refunded 125% of his purchase price to his Visa credit card. Tickets In Time processes hundreds of thousands of dollars per month worth of ticket transactions. With this volume, unfortunately there are extremely rare instances where tickets or refunds fall through the cracks. Mr. Elting's ticket transaction has been satisfied in full."

Months of excitement turned to anger and then frustration when tickets to a Broadway musical didn't come through. The customer lives in California and relied on an Omaha company.

Eight months before the Book of Mormon opened at a San Francisco theater, Eric Elting paid an Omaha ticket broker $475, only to get a revelation the day of the show. "No tickets and when I contacted Tickets In Time Saturday morning, they said yeah sorry, we're not going to fulfill them."

A refund has been slow in coming, so Fact Finders went to the broker's office in downtown Omaha. "So you'd like me to leave, you can't talk to me at all?" said reporter Mike McKnight.

"No, have a wonderful day," said a company representative.

The Better Business Bureau gives Tickets In Ttime a thumbs down rating. "The good news here for consumers that have had issues with this company is that they are willing to be responsive to the bureau when we bring these complaints to their attention," said the BBB's Jim Hegarty.

Failure to provide some customers with tickets or the right seats are complaints the bureau has received since 2009. Before spending hundreds if not thousands of dollars on prime seats, go on the Internet. Check Google or the Better Business Bureau website to see if that ticket broker has a history of coming through with tickets or refunds.

"Sure, in hindsight that's what I should have done, but I'd love to see action taken so this company can't do this to someone else," said Elting.

Whether the theater is in California or Omaha, ticket brokers grab seats that may be worth the money, but only if the tickets arrive in time.

Fact Finders received an e-mail response from the ticket broker that said the customer's credit card has been refunded.
