Dog Bites Driving Up Insurance Rates
Dog bites are driving up insurance payouts and your premium could be next.
According to the Insurance Information Institute, dog bites accounted for more than 1/3 of homeowners insurance liability claims last year...costing nearly $479 million.
It's not that the number of dog bites is going up, it's that the cost of dog bite claims has increased 48% since 2003 to more than $29,000.
