Customer Service: Phone Companies Fight For Top Spot

It looks like improvements in customer satisfaction at AT&T and Sprint Nextel are narrowing the differences among the big four wireless companies.

The American Customer Satisfaction Index puts AT&T, Sprint Nextel, T-Mobile USA and Verizon Wireless within two points of each other on a 100-point scale.

Last year, AT&T trailed the pack with Sprint and Verizon clearly in the lead.

This year, Verizon is on top with a score of 71, followed by Sprint with 70 points.

AT&T and T-Mobile were close behind, both with scores of 69.
