What annoys you the most? Consumer Reports surveyed Americans to see what their top gripes are. Here's what they found.
"The hidden fees, that's what bugs me."
"Difficulty getting someone on the phone."
"Cell-phone use while driving."
How about waiting for the repair man? Or do dropped cell-phone calls drive you crazy? Or when people don't clean up after their dog.
Consumer Reports National Research center set to find out just "What Bug America Most."
Donato Vaccaro of Consumer Reports says, "We asked over a thousand people to rate the 21 annoying things on a one-to-ten scale, where ten was the top of the "gripe-o-meter."
At the top-hidden fees in bills.
The number two annoyance...not being able to get a person on the phone.
And close behind...literally....is tailgating.
That gripe is followed by drivers on cell phones. In fact, three big gripes had to do with cell phones.
Vaccaro says, "The other two are bad cell-phone service and rude people with cell phones, for example people using a cell phone in a restaurant."
Interesting to note, answers to the Consumer Reports' poll varied depending on things like someone's plitical affiliation or sex.
Vaccaro says, "For instance, we found several things irritated women much more than men, including, for example, speeding drivers and not being able to remember your password or PIN."
And which gripe bugs Americans the LEAST?
Inaccurate weather predictions.
A couple of other gripes that were really annoying in Consumer Reports' survey-bills that are incomprehensible, unreliable Internet service, and waiting for someone to come make a repair.
