Tammy O’Neill has claimed since February that she was the victim of an assault inside the wal-mart store near 72nd and Pine in Omaha. Now she has video to support her story.
Security camera tape has been obtained by her attorney James Martin Davis. It shows a young woman punching Tammy. She says, “I turned and focused on her then she hit me. I didn’t see it coming.”
Tammy claims a group of teenaged girls had been harassing customers and she didn’t say anything to provoke the punch as she left the store with her 14 year old daughter.
In a response to the lawsuit an attorney for Wal-Mart answers the claim by denying employees failed to protect Tammy and her daughter. The response implies Tammy put her self at risk by her own actions. Tammy denies saying anything to the young women to provoke an assault.
The Omaha attorney for Wal-Mart didn’t respond to our messages. But the company has said in the past it takes customer security seriously.
