A former Omaha Housing Authority manager suspected of stealing thousands of dollars from an 87-year-old resident has been charged with Theft by Deception.
Six on Your Side first reported the story on Oct. 7, when the 87-year-old World War II veteran told us he had been robbed of $8,000 after trusting his housing manager to help him pay bills with the money in his bank account.
The manager, Angela Franklin, was suspended from her job at OHA's Jackson Tower when the theft was reported.
Housing Authority Director Brad Ashford says Franklin was fired after charges were filed.
