The service is called Google Voice.
It lets users route their calls through a single number that would ring their phones at home, at work ,and in their pocket.
Google's service is free, while competitor Skype provides a similar service for a fee.
Skype, however, has 400 million customer worldwide and, according to parent company, eBay, is adding 350,000 new ones a day.
