Nebraska Public Power District (NPPD) will be installing new residential electric automated meters the next two months in four communities beginning Monday.
The communities of Plattsmouth, Nehawka, Murray, and Union will have the new system installed at residential locations.
This technological upgrade allows personnel to automatically read electric meters from service centers, providing a higher level of customer service, says NPPD.
Contact with customers will be made before changing out the meters. A short power outage will occur. Workers with Greg’s Electric will be identified by NPPD badges.
