If you were in an emergency would you know what to do? Several dozen teenagers can now answer yes to that question. Sunday was Teen Learn To Save A Life Day.

Students learned the skills to deal with a variety of emergencies. One seventh-grader said her favorite part was the hands-on training. “Learning how to perform chest compressions on somebody's upper chest so if they're choking you can save them,” said Catherine Seitner.

The University of Nebraska Medical Center Youth Learning Center organized the event. The training was free and open to kids ages 11 to 18.
