Students Break Food Pantry Record

Eighth grade students from St. Wenceslaus broke a record this year and it was theirs to break.

Last year students collected 32,000 pounds of food for the St. Martin de Porres food pantry. This year they gathered more than 35,000 pounds.

On Tuesday, they were at the food pantry to unload and stack the donations.

Karen Adams, with St. Martin de Porres, said, "This is our supplementary food pantry that they can come every 30 days to supplement food they already have. This is a generous big support for St. Martin de Porres pantry."

This year’s food drive is the 19th annual for students at St. Wenceslaus.
