New security measures on Gretna school buses are keeping kids safer.
The district has started using GPS and ID scanners to help keep track of the 2,000 students who ride the buses.
Students will scan new IDs every time they get on or off the bus and that information is stored on board, so if a child doesn't make it home, it's easier to figure out where they got off the bus.
