Students and staff gather on the field outside Papillion Junior High School Friday afternoon for their own ALS (Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis) Ice Bucket Challenge.
People all over the world have been dumping buckets of ice water on their head or the head of someone else as a way to call attention to and raise money for the fight against the neurodegenerative disease.
Students will be chosen randomly for the opportunity to poor ice water on participating staff members, who in turn promise to make a donation to help patient's suffering from Lou Gehrig's disease. Students are encouraged to donate as well.
