Nate LaFave Remembered

More Video...

Tuesday was an emotional day on the soccer field at Mount Michael. They honored and remembered Nate LaFave, a friend lost in a car crash.

The honors include the naming of Nate LaFave Memorial Field.

Nate’s mom, Beth, just got the word last week that the name had been approved. It's a source of tremendous pride for her and for the school as they will be adding new features. They are raising money for a permanent sign and permanent lighting.

In the meantime, his teammates are already paying tribute. Underneath their jerseys are tee-shirts with Nate’s name on them.

Matthew Dugick said, "It's something to add to the legacy he had and it's going to be awesome to play on. Being able to play for one of our friends that’s passed is an honor."
