Mayor To Honor Students' Commitment To Academic Excellence

Omaha Mayor Jean Stothert will honor the academic achievements of some 450 Omaha Public School fifth and sixth-graders at The Holland Performing Arts Center on May 6th.

This is the grand-finale celebration for students who participate in the Partnership 4 Kids goal setting program. All students attending have met the requirements of the program achieving goals in math, reading, life skills and school attendance.

Mayor Stothert and Omaha Public Schools Supt. Mark Evans will speak about the lifelong importance of goal setting. Each of the 12 participating schools will have a student representative address the ceremony’s attendees with a speech reflecting on the impact Partnership 4 Kids has had on his or her life.

The schools include Belvedere Elementary, Conestoga Magnet Elementary, Field Club Elementary, Fontenelle Elementary, Franklin Elementary, Howard Kennedy Elementary, Jackson Elementary, Kellom Elementary, King Elementary, Miller Park Elementary, Mount View Elementary and Saratoga Elementary.
