Students at Thomas Jefferson High School in Council Bluffs are celebrating Friday's grand opening of a student center rewarding those working hard and staying on track to graduate.

The center offers ping pong, air hockey, video games, board games and snacks.

The project was made possible by a $5,000 reward earned by winning the area "Get Schooled" campaign to increase student attendance. The student-led effort resulted in increased attendance and attention to the importance of being in school every day to be successful.
