What: Thursday Taco Ride
When: Every Thursday, typically between 5:30 and 6:30 p.m. start time
Where: Wabash Trace Nature Trail and the 10-mile stretch between the trail head in Council Bluffs, Iowa and Mineola, Iowa
The "Thursday Taco Ride," an über popular weekly bike ride down the Wabash Trace Nature Trail, is heating up.
It's that time of year – between spring and fall – when up to 1,000 bike riders take to the trail each Thursday for a 10-mile trek from Council Bluffs to Mineola, Iowa, where they congregate at Tobey Jack's Mineola Steak House for their Thursday night taco special.
After tacos, it's back on the bikes and a return ride to C.B. Intrigued? It's one of those local events that you have to do at least once in your life, so why not now? You don't have to be Joe Cyclist to take the taco ride. But you do have to like tacos, and there are plenty of them consumed each Thursday at Tobey Jack's.
