Half-naked joggers in Valentine's Day-themed underwear (un)zipping through the streets of Omaha in the middle of winter – all for a good cause? I'm so there.
Sure, it might be a little nippy outside, but there's nothing like a little sexiness to heat things up. Plus, it's helping raise money for a worthy organization – the Children's Tumor Foundation – and it's really only a one-mile(ish) sprint. The real fun is before and after the so-called "run."
It all goes down on SATURDAY (Feb. 15) at Midtown Crossing, where the annual "Cupid's Undie Run" takes place.
The 21-and-older event occurs simultaneously in cities across the country. (More than $20,000 has been raised so far this year in Omaha. The winter event raised $1.3 million nationwide in 2013).
There are still spots open for Omaha's version, but hurry – the "Cupid's Undie Run" is selling out in several other cities.
The festivities begin Saturday at noon, two hours before the run, which is at 2 p.m. After a quick jaunt, the party returns to Midtown Crossing where the festivities continue (pants are optional at this point).
