Kids need a night out, too, right? Well, here's a perfect opportunity to treat your mini-yous to a cool event.

Thursday, Jan. 30, the nationally touring production of Sid the Science Kid will be staged at the Orpheum Theater, 409 S. 16th St.
If you have little ones, then you've probably caught an episode ... or two ... or three ... of Sid and his crew of friends. The show, produced by the Jim Henson Company, has been nominated for Emmy Awards, and is a nice way to introduce your young kids to the wonders of science.

The show starts at 7 p.m., but you can arrive up to an hour early and let the kiddies get their faces painted and enjoy balloon art and coloring.

Tickets are $25, and are available at ticketomaha.com (402-345-0606). Get an idea of what the show is like via the link.
