Believe it or not, there are still a few tickets left to the Paul McCartney show in Lincoln at the Pinnacle Bank Arena on Monday (July 14).
Paul McCartney, people. He's a freakin' Beatle. A BEATLE!
And that's a key word here: Beatles. Because, judging from the 40-song playlists that Sir Paul has been playing this summer on his "Out There" tour, Monday's show is going to be Beatlemania all over again.
He's been opening with "Eight Days A Week" and following with a string of Beatles classics – including my personal favorites "Yellow Submarine," "Eleanor Rigby" and "Lovely Rita." He's also mixing in Wings and solo work.
One more to expect is "Early Days" a memory song about McCartney and John Lennon's early days together from McCartney's 2013 album “New.” You can watch the just-posted video (put on YouTube last week) to the song by clicking on the link at right. The clip includes a split-second cameo from McCartney pal Johnny Depp (his third appearance in a Sir Paul music video).
Yes, at 72 McCartney is playing 40-song sets. Unbelievable. Like I said, I can't believe there's tickets left to this one.
