The latest buzz on P!nk - and for the purposes of this little feature, I will spell my name as such: J!m - is not about her spectacle-filled, critically acclaimed tour, which goes to the new Pinnacle Bank Arena in Lincoln on SATURDAY (Nov. 9).
Instead, the news in recent days has been how P!nk’s professional motorcycle-riding husband took their 2-year-old daughter for a little ride on one of his bikes. The debate is still ranging in Twitterville as P!nk defends her hubby.
But we’re not here to talk about parenting. This is all about the show – and what a production it is! The tour’s opening number has drawn raves from fans as one of P!nk’s best. She reportedly bungee jumps into the arena – a la Cirque du Soleil – in a feat of aerial ballet, spinning into various acrobatic routines as she belts out “Raise Your Glass.”
Expect lots more of theatrics, blazing lights and dancers galore during the show. And music, too. Don’t forget the music. P!nk has plenty of that. Her 110 million in record sales proves that. So do the three Grammys and numerous other awards she's won.
Tickets for the 8 p.m. show at 400 Pinnacle Bank Arena Drive are $36.50 to $96.50 (plus fees), and are available at the Pinnacle box office (402-904-4444) and ticketexpress.com.
In the meantime, let's get this party started with a clip from P!nk's I'm Not Dead Tour DVD. Click on the YouTube icon above to watch her sing an oldie but a goodie: "Get The Party Started."
