What: Omaha Restaurant Week
When: Through Sept. 22
Where: Dozens of Omaha Restaurants
Cost: $20, $30 & $40 price fix meals
I'm no George Costanza with my money, but I'm not fond of dropping dough on a new restaurant that may or may not be worth its coin in culinary offerings. So I look forward to the annual Omaha Restaurant Week, a 10-day celebration by many of the Big O's most popular and ambitiously inventive eateries.
Each day, now through Sept. 22, participating restaurants – you can see the list of those participating (see link on the right) – will be offering three-course dinners that have fixed prices of $20, $30 or $40. It's a great way to sample some of the area's restaurants.
Plus, it helps a good cause in the process. Five percent of each multi-course meal purchased goes to the Omaha Food Bank For the Heartland, which in turn provides emergency and supplemental food to people in need.
