She's a former back-up guitarist for an Elvis impersonator. She has A.D.D. And she sings like an angel.
Sounds like my kind of gal. I'm guessing Brandi Carlile connects with a lot of you out there, even those of you who aren't big country fans. I'm not, either, but I do enjoy a little twang now and then, especially when it comes with a dash of alternative sizzle from a singer who has a big voice – one that resonates through your speakers and sort of lingers there. I like that.
Sumtur Amphitheater, 11691 S. 108th St., the outdoor venue in Papillion that seats about 2,500 and is a great place to see a show, will host Carlile and the Lone Bellow at 8 p.m. Saturday, July 6. Tickets are $30.
