The last film in the "Hitchcock 9" series at Film Streams – which has been featuring the famed filmmaker's films accompanied by live bands – is Thursday, April 3.
The last film is Hitchcock’s “The Manxman,” with music provided by Ted Stevens (Cursive, Lullaby for the Working Class), Lincoln Dickison (Chromafrost, The Monroes), Ian Aeillo (Eli Mardock, Eagle Seagull), and David Ozinga (UUVVWWZ).
The film tells the story of Pete, a lowly fisherman on the Isle of Man, who is deemed unworthy by the father of the girl he wants to marry. He sets off to make good in the world, trusting his best friend, the lawyer Philip, to watch after his love. However, with Pete gone, the two people he cares about most start to fall for each other.
