"They say I'm a street photographer for the underwater world. I get dangerous animals close, personal and intimate." – Paul Nicklen
Sometimes I think I'm a pretty good photographer. I mean, just look at the amazing shots I took with my iPhone that I posted on Instagram. And then I see the work of a real photographer, like Paul Nicklen (at right), the National Geographic shooter who likes to hang out on the frigid, barren landscapes of the arctic and snap photos of polar bears and other ice-based critters. His work is spellbinding.
On TUESDAY (Feb. 18), the award-winning photographer will be in Omaha to present his "Polar Obsession" show at the Holland Center. He'll show his captivating images of polar bears, leopard seals, penguins and icy landscapes while telling humorous and passionate stories of his adventures.
You can get an idea of what Nicklen has in store by watching the video clip attached to the link.
