Colorado's Whitewater Ramble is one of those bands that even anti-country-music hipsters can appreciate. Not that Whitewater Ramble is a traditional country band. They're not.
This group, with mandolin, fiddle and stand-up bass, among others, is all over the place, bringing a bluegrass vibe to everything from disco to Americana to classic rock. It's an easy-on-the-ears sound that appeals to a broad audience.
On Saturday (Dec. 7), Whitewater Ramble brings its good-time jams to the Slowdown, 729 N. 14th St., for a 9 p.m. show. Tickets are $8 in advance, $10 day of the show.
