Omaha gets another visit from a nationally renowned DJ this week – this time, it's Los Angeles electronic mix master Mimosa.
If you like to groove to deep bass-lines paired with dub-step and hip-hop overtones, this is your guy. Mimosa will be spinning his thing at the Slowdown, 729 N. 14th St., on WEDNESDAY (Dec. 11).
You can get a great sense of his show – lots of super-duper flashing lights – by watching a bit of his performance from last year in Lincoln, where he played the Star City's Bourbon Theatre. Just click on the link below to see it.
Also playing Wednesday beginning at 9 p.m. will be Thriftworks , Bogl and Rygol. Tickets are $15 in advance, $18 day of show. Go to theslowdown.com for more info.
A SIDE NOTE: A Mimosa is also the name of a cocktail, one part orange juice and one part champagne. (The more you know ... .)
