Celebrate Heartland Pride on Saturday, June 22, with the annual LGBTQIA parade and festival. The colorful Pride Parade will take place in downtown Council Bluffs from 9:30-10:30 a.m. You can see the parade route via the link connected below.

From Council Bluffs, the Heartland Pride festival moves to Stinson Park at Aksarben Village, 67th and Center streets (gates open at 11 a.m.). There will be a variety of vendors on hand along with a Pride Bridal Fair, Pet Fair and Art Fair. Food will be available in the Pride Café.

There will also be live music throughout the event, with performances by the Jazz Brown Band, Lacy Jones, and We Be Lions. And then at 9:30 p.m., Grammy-winning singer Thelma Houston (pictured above) will perform.
