What: Legacy: The Emily Fisher Landau Collection
When: Now Open
Where: Joslyn Art Museum, 2200 Dodge St.
I'm finally going to take the Joslyn Art Museum, 2200 Dodge St., up on one of its virtual tours, starting with Legacy: The Emily Fisher Landau Collection.
Along with FREE admission to the museum you also get free wi-fi and access to an iPad (or use your own mobile device) that allows you to take a mobile tour as you walk through the exhibits. They even have a program called iArt for kids that bridges gaming experiences with learning about art. I dig that.
One more thing ... if you go, be sure to check out another current special exhibit, The Lorax, which features the original initial sketches for the timeless classic The Lorax from Theodor Seuss Geisel, aka Dr. Seuss.
The Joslyn is open from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Saturdays; 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Thursdays; and noon to 4 p.m. Sundays.
