Long day at work? Mondays are like that, right? But there’s no reason to carry that funk into Monday evening. Let’s get outside and take in some fresh air. And while we’re at it, let’s watch a true classic movie: “The Wizard of Oz.”

That’s the film of the week at Midtown Crossing’s “Monday Night at the Movies” series, which takes place again Monday, July 21, at sunset on the lawn at Turner Park.

Remember those flying monkeys and that creepy Wicked Witch? The munchkins? Dorothy and the gang? Yeah, they’ll all be there – and so should you. This is the original, released 75 years ago. Seventy-five years! And it’s still a great watch.

Plus, this one is free. Grab a blanket, bring a picnic, load the crew in the family trickster and go to Turner Park to enjoy a classic under the stars. Get jazzed up by watching the original trailer. Just click on the link at right to watch it.

See? Mondays aren’t so bad after all.
