If you haven't gone out and sampled some of the amazing locally produced music in a while, Omaha's Field Club (pictured above, middle and below) is an ideal band to see. Their poppy indie rock sound is very approachable and easy on the ears. And it's inventive enough to get you hooked on local original music.
I really dig this band's sound. And I'm guessing you will, too. It's an infectious strain of music that will stick around in your ears for days after hearing it. I went back and listened to their latest EP, Best Friends last weekend and I still can't get "Jackson Street" out of my head. Great song.
You can see Field Club on MONDAY (Dec. 30) at the Slowdown, 729 N. 14th St., along with opening bands Lars & Mal, Ghosts of Guyana and Edison & the Elephant. Cover is just $5 to hear a night full of quality original Omaha-brewed music.
