The Jazz Age is the theme at this year's Joslyn Castle Literary Festival, which began last weekend and continues through August 10. Everything from live theater and opera to a 1920s movie night to presentations on fashion, Prohibition, flappers (I love flappers), music and dance will take place over the course of the two-week festival.
There will also be exhibits that highlight life in the 1920s, as well as a classic car show.

Fashion is the theme on Monday, July 29. Barbara Trout, curator of the historic costume collection and associate professor in the Department of Textiles, Clothing and Design at UNL, will conduct a multimedia exploration of Jazz Age fashion trends (tickets: $25). It goes from 7-9 p.m.
