What: StereoFidelics, with All Young Girls Are Machine Guns and Ghostship Battlecat
When: 9 p.m. Monday, June 24
"Imagine you're back in time enjoying the groove and virtuosity of a '70s art-rock band, then hurled decades forward, colliding with the energy and intensity of today's indie rock scene."
That's how someone aptly described the duo StereoFidelics, which features Melissa McGinley on drums, lead vocals and electric violin, and Chris Padgett on vocals, guitar and foot-operated synth bass.
Yeah, I said foot-operated synth bass. You need to see it to understand it. You can do that by clicking the video link below to watch the band's video to "Baby That's You."
While the StereoFidelics is not quite like the guy-girl set-up of the White Stripes or of She & Him, the dynamic duo is a fascinating act to watch, which is why I'm betting you'll enjoy their show at the Waiting Room, 6212 Maple St., on Monday, June 24.
Tickets are only $5, and awesome Omaha band All Young Girls Are Machine Guns and Ghostship Battlecat open the show at 9 p.m.
