Members of the Seven Doctors Project – which began as a way for doctors to present their creative writing projects but has since expanded beyond just docs – will perform readings of their work at the Slowdown, 729 N. 14th St., on Tuesday, Jan. 20.

The writers who will be presenting include Jon Garrigan, Liz Kay, Sean Duffy, Samantha Clayton, Matthew Smith, Steve Langan, John Ohnoutka, Suzanne Kehm, Pam Jesperse, Natasha Kessler, Maureen Tobin, Tom Huerter, and Evelyn Katz.

In between the readings, Omaha pop-folk-indie rock band All Young Girls Are Machine Guns will perform a set of their ukulele-fueled compositions led by singer Rebecca Lowry (pictured).

Admission to the 7 p.m. show is FREE. For more info, go to theslowdown.com.
