What: Supersuckers, with Hellbound Glory
When: 9 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 6
Where: Waiting Room, 6212 Maple St.
For me, concerts on Sundays need to be worth the fact that I'll be beginning the work-week a little groggy. Supersuckers, which plays Sunday (Oct. 6) at the Waiting Room, 6212 Maple St., are certainly worth the Red Bulls on Monday.
Taking the stage with a rockabilly punk rock and outlaw country (cowpunk) vibe, Supersuckers are led by the fortitude of bassist singer Eddie Spaghetti and the guitar prowess of "Metal" Marty Chandler and Dan "Thunder" Bolton. Supersuckers is a band that's most at home in a sweaty, no-holds-barred packed barroom. I'm guessing the Waiting Room will fill that bill on Sunday.
Tickets are $15 for the 9 p.m. show, which also features Hellbound Glory.
