Put the kiddies to bed early Saturday night and get plenty of sleep. You're going to need the energy of a coked-up Robin Williams to see everything the 5-hour Family Festival has to offer on SUNDAY (Dec. 8) in downtown Omaha.

Wells Fargo is the official sponsor of the FREE multi-venue event, but they definitely should have brought on 5 Hour Energy as a co-sponsor. Maybe they'll be handing out those little red grenades of adrenaline … stocking stuffers?

Here's a few – just a FEW – of the highlights for the noon to 5 p.m. festival:

Wells Fargo Bank, 20th and Douglas streets:

  • Children can pose for a picture with Wells Fargo’s “Jack the Dog”
  • See the historically accurate reproduction of the Wells Fargo Stagecoach (one pictured above) in the lobby. You can get a ride in it later at the Omaha Police Mounted Patrol Barn

Omaha Police Mounted Patrol Barn, 615 Leavenworth St.:

  • Tour the stables and visit with Santa’s reindeer
  • Get your picture taken with the horses and reindeer
  • Wells Fargo will be giving free stagecoach rides from 1 to 4 p.m.

Omaha Children's Museum, 500 S. 20th St. – See the Super Snowy Science Show in the Science Lab

Durham Museum, 801 S. 10th St. – Pan for gold, go on a scavenger hunt, and meet Santa and Mrs. Claus.

W Dale Clark Library, 215 S. 15th St. – Dress up in 1890s attire and have your photo taken in a special World’s Fair setting

Joslyn Art Museum, 2200 Dodge St. – Get a magic wand and watch Amazing Lindy perform magic at 12:30, 1:30 p.m., 2:30 and 3:30 p.m.
