Was it worth the wait? Film critics seem to think so. Out of 169 reviews at the movie ratings website RottenTomatoes.com, “Boyhood” has received 167 "fresh" votes compared to just two "rotten" votes. Haters gonna hate.

Director-producer Richard Linklater spent the past 12 years filming “Boyhood” intermittently with its star Ellar Coltrane growing up into a young man in the process. Patricia Arquette, Lorelei Linklater and Ethan Hawke were also along for the 12-year ride that tells the story of a boy who grows up before our eyes.

From road trips to family dinners to graduations, we watch as Mason (Coltrane) goes from age 6 to 18. It's a groundbreaking effort that deserves the accolades. The trailer to the film is spellbinding and it's only one minute and 33 seconds long. Click here for a look.

If that butters your muffin, and it should, then catch the full version at Film Streams.
