Special Election Memory
Elections can be a time for voters to reflect on past leaders. WOWT Chief Photographer Mike Plews said one of the most memorable election stories he's covered was on Jack Bolliger of Beebetown, Iowa.
Back in 1994, Plews traveled to Beebetown to cover Bolliger's 50th Anniversary serving as an election official. At the time, voters cast their ballots in a feed store. Now, that store is a bar and grill and voting no longer takes place there.
