President Obama has been elected the 44th President of the United States, according to NBC analysts.
Around 10:15 p.m. Tuesday, NBC News reported President Obama had 274 electoral votes. Officials said, at that point, it would be statistically impossible for Governor Mitt Romney to recover.
It is interesting to note that, as of 10:15 p.m., Governor Romney had won the popular vote - 50% to 49%.
All five of Nebraska's electoral votes went to Governor Romney. Results for Iowa are not yet final; however, with 66% of precincts reporting in Obama led with 53% of the vote.
