Nebraska Secretary of State John Gale is reminding state residents that the deadline to register to vote for the Nov. 6 general election is nearing.
Gale says the mail-in voter registrations must be postmarked by Oct. 19. That's also the last day to register at motor vehicle offices and state agencies.
In-person voter registration at county election offices ends at 6 p.m. Oct. 26. Gale reminds people to update their voter registration if they have moved within a county, since this will save them time when they go to the polls.
