So I am going to start with pictures of Kadie. Last night I found her PJ's and put them on her before we went to bed. She fights me when I try to get her back legs in them, and they come off overnight, but it is so worth seeing her in her pajamas.

Kadie comes to work with me on the weekends. Here she is this morning being silly.

I might get her on a walk today considering the temperate conditions. Last winter was extremely cold, so at least to me, 50º is warm. This weekend will be below average temperate wise, but only by a handful of degrees. It is not going to be nearly as cold and blustery as Friday. That was the result of being directly behind a passing cold front. We are still within the northwesterly flow behind that low-pressure system, and that is why we are not going to be in the 60s for Saturday and Sunday. However, since we have not had time to return the winds to the south and bring in some of that moisture, any passing disturbances this weekend will not be able to produce a lot of rainfall, if any. So while we are cooler than we might like to be, at least we can be out and about without having to worry about wind and rain.
Here is a view of our visible satellite this morning. There is a small upper level disturbances crossing the Midwest. You can see the clouds in western Nebraska. It is not a very well organized system, but it will increase our cloud cover throughout the day.
Visible Satellite valid 8AM to 10:15 AM Saturday
At this same time, one of the computer models indicated a weak area of low pressure in western Kansas.
06Z GFS Forecast for 10AM Saturday
As this low-pressure system moves east, it brings clouds, the chance for sprinkles across the Omaha area, and a chance for rain showers near the Kansas/Nebraska/Missouri border.
I hope you enjoy the sunshine while we have it today. Tomorrow will be partly cloudy, so any baseball or softball games that you may have will have great weather.
Cheers,
Andrea
