You're reaction to the fact I have a golf cart heater is predictable but I've heard it before. Yes there is such a thing. It's a portable heater attached to a gas cylinder that fits right in the cup holder of a golf cart. I made the investment this year and with the crummy weather we've had this April it's already paid off. Several years ago, a friend gave me his golf cart cover that is designed to fully enclose the cart with zipper doors on each side to allow easy access. It's like riding in a weather proof bubble. The add on feature is the portable heater that can be used to warm up the bubble for extra relief from the numbing Nebraska temperatures that we often endure every spring and fall. Last Saturday our regular foursome teed off at 7am in 43 degree weather with a northwest wind chill around the freezing mark. Inside the bubble it was more like 55 degrees and calm. Sure, there are plenty of smirks and witty barbs aimed in my direction but four hours of comfort in miserable conditions easily puts those to rest. And it's real easy to fill the passenger seat. It's a Christmas gift that keeps on giving. Not only do I thank my kids for the thoughtful present, but also the guy who came up with the invention. Had to be someone with a climate like ours. Knicely Done!
