Did you notice that huge turnout at Memorial Stadium for Husker autograph day?  As one of the players said, "even grown women were running into the stadium to be first in line for autographs." 

It's clear again that consternation about the faltering Nebraska football program has eased with the much needed injection of Pelini passion.  His vision of Husker excellence burns not only in his words but through his actions.  When a standout player broke team rules just before fall camp, Pelini dismissed him from the team.  Pelini bluntly said, "another player will take his place."

What do Husker fans seem to think of that no-nonsense approach?  The line for Pelini's autograph stretched 200 yards around the floor of the stadium. 

This year's team will make some noise.  It won't always be reflected with a winning score but certainly in how the players battle with  Pelini fire throughout the game.   And when they do, they'll hear about it from their fans.  In fact they already did on autograph day.
